Congratulations to the 2011 NBA Champions, The Dallas Mavericks!

It was a sweet, but hard earned victory for the Dallas Mavericks. It was a very close game, let alone a very tight series, but Dirk and company finally sealed the deal!

Mr. Nowitzki and J.Kidd finally have their rings! They’ve definitely deserved it! Credit definitely goes to Mr. Mark Cuban as well. Self-made billionaire who built such a great franchise!

Better luck next year Miami! As much as I hate the Heat, they’ll eventually get their title run. Also, someone tell Lebron not to stress so much. He’s aging before our eyes! Only 26 but he’s looking like he’s 36. DAMN!

2011 NBA Finals: It’s COLD in South Beach Tonight…

I’m not going to front, I’m proud of the Dallas Mavericks! I still hate them for beating the shit out of my Lakers, but I hate Lebron’s overrated ass even more than the Mavs.

I’m not even going to get into it any further til’ the Finals are over.  One more Dallas! Mr. Nowitzki and Mr. Kidd, you’re rings are over due, I hope you guys finally get one this Sunday!

Game 6 is on Sunday @ 5pm Pacific on ABC.

NBA Finals: Game 2 – Dirk Leads Dallas to tie the Series!

Posted in Sports with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 2, 2011 by prolifik1

No doubt, I’ve been public with my hatred for Lebron James and the Miami Heat. I can’t stand a cocky dude like him, so I’ll practically cheer for anyone who plays against them.

Even though Dallas swept my beloved Lakers out of the 2011 post season, I still have mad respect for Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Kidd.  Those two definitely need a ring.

Whether you like any of these teams or not, you have to admit, tonight’s game was amazing! To have Dallas go on a 22 to 5 run in the 4th quarter is ridiculous!  Just when I thought this game was a wrap for the Mavs, Dirk goes ballistic!

So Bron Bron, how does it feel to get Dirked? LOL

Series are tired 1-1, and it would only get better since they head back to Dallas!

NBA Finals: Game Five Down – The Celtics get the best of the Lakers at home…

Posted in Sports with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 13, 2010 by prolifik1

The Celtics take another win at home to take a series lead, 3 games to 2. Question is, did the Celtics outplay the Lakers? or did the refs? I hate to pin it on that since that’s the excuse that us fans would like to make, but you be the judge. It just becomes quite frustrating but I still have confidence in my Lakers. With all the conspiracies surrounding the Finals officiating, I believe that it would go 7 games. Championship sports rely on ratings and revenues.  Knowing commissioner, David Stern, it’s some bs that I see happening. I see it going 7…

The Lakers couldn’t get the win tonight, so it’s now desperation time as we head back to Los Angeles. The last two games are in LA. Will we see a repeat of the 2008 NBA Finals? Only time will tell. I sure as hope that we do not witness a repeat of 08. I’d be on disgruntled fan…

It’s do or die now for the Los Angeles Lakers come Tuesday.

NBA Finals Game 5: The Los Angeles Lakers vs The Boston Celtics

Posted in Sports with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 13, 2010 by prolifik1

Game 5, the series is now tied at 2 games a piece. I’m a bit nervous. It’ll kill me if the Celtics go up 3 games to 2. I have confidence in my Lakers though.

They definitely got out played last series. Their defense wasn’t up to par because how in the hell does Glen “Big Baby” Davis get 18 points? If that dude gets double digits in scoring, then it tells you that something is definitely up with the Lakers’ D. That’s no excuse…

lol I don’t have much to say, it stresses me out just thinking about Game 5.  Not to mention, the bandwagon Celtic fans within my friends are getting hella annoying!

NBA Finals: Game Four Down – The Boston Celtics tie the series!

Posted in Sports with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 10, 2010 by prolifik1

The Celtics tie the series by taking Game 4! The series is now tied at 2 games a piece. Glen “Big Baby” Davis had a big game by having 18 points along with 5 rebounds. The bench was the key tonight for the Celtics. Everyone was on point with scoring.

The Lakers couldn’t hang with the Celtics pace this time around. It’s all good.  I’m kinda bummed, but oh well. We still have Sunday to look forward to! Plus side to this is that we’re heading back to LA for Game 6 and 7 if necessary. Regardless, it’s being won at home! It’s practically what Paul Pierce didn’t want. Dude jinxed it

Game 5 is on Sunday night at 6:00pm Pacific/9:00pm Eastern on ABC.

NBA Finals: Game Three Down – DFish helps the Lakers steal one in Boston!

Posted in Sports with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 8, 2010 by prolifik1

What a great game this turned out to be! Lakers pulled an early lead in the first half, but the Celtics rallied back to keep it a close one for most of the second half.

The Dynamic Duo consisting of Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher turned it up once again tonight. Bryant ended the night 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Derek Fisher was key tonight with 16 points.

Ray Allen went for a surprising 0 for 13, while on the bright side, Kevin Garnett found his groove and ended the night with 25 points and 6 rebounds.

I must say, seeing Derek Fisher teary eyed at the post game interview conveyed a true heart of a champion! His humbleness, his determination, his will to win showed us on how players should be. Every team needs a player with that type of heart. Cocky players can learn a thing or two from fisher about modesty.

The Lakers now lead the series 2 games to 1.

Game 4 is on Thursday night in Boston once again… Can the Lakers go up two games? or will Boston tie the series? Time will only tell…

NBA Finals Game 3: The Los Angeles Lakers vs The Boston Celtics

Well folks, this series has just gotten better. It’s tied at 1-1. The Celtics slip by in Game 2 to take one in Los Angeles this past Sunday night. Although it’s still early in the series, it has gotten many Laker fans a bit worried with the next 3 games in Boston.

The momentum shifted on behalf of the Celtics where they’re obviously happy to be home with home court advantage. Many people on Sunday night complained about the officiating, but the Lakers have more than those excuses to dwell on. Could they possibly take a game or two while on the road? The Lakers have proven to be a good road team this year in the post season by closing out all rounds of the Western Conference series’ on the road. They closed out the first round in Oklahoma City, they close out the 2nd round in Utah, and they closed out the Western Conference Finals in Phoenix. The Lakers seem to have a good track record, so I’m not a bit worried at all.

Tune in tonight as Game 3 takes place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

NBA Finals Game 2: The Boston Celtics vs The Los Angeles Lakers

Posted in Sports with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 6, 2010 by prolifik1

Tonight is Game 2 of the NBA Finals at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The Lakers lead the series 1-0. The Lakers did an impressive job Thursday night in attaining the win. They sent a message out to the Celtics that they’re not the same team that they were back in 2008. Can they repeat their performance from Game 1?

The next few wins won’t come easy. It’s still early in the series. The Lakers have to keep doing what worked for them in Game 1. The Boston Celtics, surprisingly looked timid and weak out there. Everything has been flipped this time around. Even Pau Gasol, who was dubbed back in the 08 series as Pau “Gasoft” has definitely stepped up his game and did a fantastic job against Kevin Garnett.

Will the Lakers continue to run of Gasol-ine as Bryant lights it up? Tune in tonight at 5:00pm Pacific.

NBA Finals: Lakers – One Game Down, Three More to Go!

Posted in Sports with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 3, 2010 by prolifik1

The Lakers take Game 1 of the NBA Finals. The Lakers cruised tonight to a win, which was lead by Kobe Bryant who scored 30 points along with 6 assists. It was great to see him send a message to the Boston Celtics that he’s taking this series seriously by shooting a 3 pointer just before the game ended. Putting an exclamation point on the win tonight!

Pau Gasol also showed great support by scoring 23 points along with 14 rebounds! Last but not least, Ron Artest has shown that he’s hungry for a ring. He ended the night with 15 points, which included three 3pointers.

This win went smoothly, but the next three will not come easy. There are still three games in Boston. Game 2 is on Sunday at 5:00pm Pacific/8:00pm Eastern.

Three more games Lakers fans!

NBA Finals Game 1: The Boston Celtics vs The Los Angeles Lakers

Ah, yes, NBA post season is great! What’s even greater, the NBA Finals! It’s been a long journey for both of the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics. Everyone assumed it would be Lebron and the Cavaliers, but once again, they failed. Trying too hard? Perhaps, but that’s another story.

It’s an old school rivalry renewed. It’s a rematch of the 2008 NBA Finals where the Boston Celtics took out the Lakers in 6 games. With the rivalry sparked up once again, it’s an opportunity for the Lakers to avenge their Finals lost this time around. The mindset is there, all of us LA fans want to witness it. With the reality of this season being the last for Phil Jackson with the Lakers, it’s one push for a ring that we all would want to see.

Tonight is the night! Game 1 of the NBA Finals at the Staples Center in Los Angeles!
