Congratulations to the 2011 NBA Champions, The Dallas Mavericks!

It was a sweet, but hard earned victory for the Dallas Mavericks. It was a very close game, let alone a very tight series, but Dirk and company finally sealed the deal!

Mr. Nowitzki and J.Kidd finally have their rings! They’ve definitely deserved it! Credit definitely goes to Mr. Mark Cuban as well. Self-made billionaire who built such a great franchise!

Better luck next year Miami! As much as I hate the Heat, they’ll eventually get their title run. Also, someone tell Lebron not to stress so much. He’s aging before our eyes! Only 26 but he’s looking like he’s 36. DAMN!

2011 NBA Finals: It’s COLD in South Beach Tonight…

Posted in Sports with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 9, 2011 by prolifik1

I’m not going to front, I’m proud of the Dallas Mavericks! I still hate them for beating the shit out of my Lakers, but I hate Lebron’s overrated ass even more than the Mavs.

I’m not even going to get into it any further til’ the Finals are over.  One more Dallas! Mr. Nowitzki and Mr. Kidd, you’re rings are over due, I hope you guys finally get one this Sunday!

Game 6 is on Sunday @ 5pm Pacific on ABC.

NBA Finals: Game 2 – Dirk Leads Dallas to tie the Series!

Posted in Sports with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 2, 2011 by prolifik1

No doubt, I’ve been public with my hatred for Lebron James and the Miami Heat. I can’t stand a cocky dude like him, so I’ll practically cheer for anyone who plays against them.

Even though Dallas swept my beloved Lakers out of the 2011 post season, I still have mad respect for Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Kidd.  Those two definitely need a ring.

Whether you like any of these teams or not, you have to admit, tonight’s game was amazing! To have Dallas go on a 22 to 5 run in the 4th quarter is ridiculous!  Just when I thought this game was a wrap for the Mavs, Dirk goes ballistic!

So Bron Bron, how does it feel to get Dirked? LOL

Series are tired 1-1, and it would only get better since they head back to Dallas!

Derek Fisher turns down Miami offer, stays with the Los Angeles Lakers!

Posted in Sports with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on July 12, 2010 by prolifik1

Just goes to show that the new lineup for Miami doesn’t mean shit for some. Even with a huge ass offer, Derek Fisher chose to stay with the LA Lakers. Why leave when you have a founded chemistry with familiar teammates along with 5 rings? It’s a no brainier. Thanks Derek Fisher!

“I have decided to continue with Kobe, continue with our teammates and the fans of Los Angeles,” Fisher said in a statement on his website. “While this may not be the most lucrative contract I’ve been offered this offseason, it is the most valuable. I am confident I will continue to lead this team on and off the court. Let the hunt for six begin.”

The Lakers have won two straight titles and five in Fisher’s tenure with the team. He gets a three-year deal to return, with a player option on the final year. Monetary terms were not immediately available.

The Lakers were waiting for the deal to be completed before announcing anything.

“Nothing is signed yet,” Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak said. “We’re in continuous dialogue with [Fisher’s] representative and we hope to announce something soon.”

Fisher, 35, had been courted by the Miami Heat. He met with Miami president Pat Riley and owner Micky Arison at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Miami on Saturday morning where the Heat told him it wanted him to be its starting point guard and to join LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

“I took time to consider all my options, many not reported in the media,” Fisher said. “I listened to every coach, every general manager, even potential teammates in order to make the right decision and I thank every one of them. At the end of the day, there’s one person I could not turn away from.

“Kobe Bryant asked me to stay but supported whatever decision I made. He and I have played together for 11 seasons, came into the league together as kids, and has been loyal to me even when others had doubts. We have won five championships together.”

The Lakers had been in constant contact with Fisher and his representative Rob Pelinka since the free-agent negotiating period opened on July 1, although negotiations had proceeded slowly but amicably.

Fisher averaged 7.5 points and 2.5 assists per game last season, but he stepped up with some big shots in the playoffs, especially against the Celtics in the NBA Finals.

Los Angeles lost free agent Jordan Farmar to New Jersey on Monday, but signed Steve Blake last week. Blake likely will share playing time with Fisher.
